Her first time in the ring Shala won a Best Puppy in Group, and she finished her Canadian Championship at 9 mths of age.

As a puppy Shala won 13 Best Puppy in Group, a Group 4 & an all breed Best Puppy in Show. Shala also won Best Puppy at the GDCC Midwest Division Booster & Best in Working Group at the Puppy Classic (for puppy in group winners.) Shala was named GDCC’s Puppy of the Year in 1994.
